Below is a list of active block watches and community groups both in Pittsburgh Safe Neighborhoods Network and in the City of Pittsburgh at large. Contact the one nearest you to get started with keeping your neighborhood safe, or to coordinate a multi-neighborhood public safety initiative.

In Carrick we have an e-mail listserv that neighbors use to discuss a variety of issues. Lately, we have been discussing a hot topic of crime on a certain section of Brownsville Road.

Neighbors have remarked that this makes them feel like they are supported by a larger community and they do not feel like they are alone and isolated when calling 911.
